How to Check or Update Your Voter Registration in Florida

How to Change or Check Your Florida Voter Registration

Voting begins long before Election Day—it starts by making sure your voter registration information is accurate.

Whether you’ve recently moved, changed your name, or simply want to verify your registration, Florida makes it easy to check and update your voter information online.

Step 1: Check Your Voter Registration

Visit the Florida Division of Elections’ official voter information page:

RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov

There, you can verify your current voter registration information, including:

  • Your registration status
  • Your name and residential address
  • Your party affiliation
  • Your voting precinct
  • Your polling location (when available)

Step 2: Update Your Registration

If any of your information has changed, you can update your voter registration through Florida’s secure online portal.

You can update:

  • Your residential or mailing address
  • Your legal name
  • Your signature (when applicable)
  • Your political party affiliation
  • Other voter registration information

If you do not have a Florida driver license or Florida identification card, you may still complete a voter registration application and submit it according to the instructions provided by the Florida Division of Elections.

Step 3: Know the Registration Deadline

Florida law establishes deadlines for registering to vote or updating your voter registration before an election. If you plan to participate in an upcoming election, be sure to complete any necessary changes before the applicable registration deadline.
